ECCE Preschool Year
The ECCE programme is designed to give children access to a preschool education for up to two years. The preschool programme is based on appropriate activities in the two years before they start primary school. Participation in a preschool programme provides children with their first formal experience of early learning, the starting-point of their educational and social development outside the home. Children who avail of preschool are more likely to be ready for school and a formal learning and social environment. In general, each eligible child is entitled to up to two preschool years.
The ECCE programme is open to all children from aged 2 years and nine months. There is one intake and this is every September, this programme entitles children to 2 years preschool.
We operate the ECCE program at The Learning Curve for 3 hours per day, 5 days per week for 38 weeks which amounts to 183 days.
A deposit is required to hold your child's place, the deposit amount is €100, the deposit will be refunded in full in your child's final year with us, provided that the child turns up to take the place, however if the child fails to turn up for preschool you (parent) will forfeit your deposit.
